Lucien and Ari, lifelong friends and co-founders, decided to take the leap into business together after witnessing firsthand the widespread shortcomings in the residential solar industry nationwide. Their deep-rooted passion for ethical service and quality workmanship led them to create Off Grid Solutions—a company that serves homeowners who have been left in the dark by deceptive sales tactics, poorly installed systems, and unfulfilled promises.

Lucien and Ari have driven a quarter of a million miles together, working across more than a dozen states. Everywhere they went, they heard the same story: homeowners excitedly signed contracts for solar, only to be met with delays, broken promises, and systems that never performed as expected. Sales companies often oversell production potential and overestimate tax credits while downplaying the realities of system performance. Worse yet, when the systems failed to deliver, the fine print in contracts left homeowners with little recourse.

After years of working in the industry, including Lucien's experience co-owning a solar installation company, they realized that the system was broken. Ari, who had risen from apprentice to a peer unparalleled in Lucien’s time in the trade, was at his side every step of the way during their five years running the business. Together, they saw the detrimental effects of predatory sales practices, burn out from industry norms, and the financial strain caused by COVID-19, all of which led them to close the company.

Now, with renewed focus and a commitment to serving forgotten customers, they launched Off Grid Solutions. Their mission? To support homeowners stuck with double bills—paying for both a solar loan and a power bill—while addressing the deeper issues caused by misleading sales promises and unfinished or poorly installed systems.
